About

I am a therapist, writer, and scholar with over twenty years of experience in psychotherapy. I specialize in trauma and loss, helping individuals like you heal using talk therapy, EMDR, hypnosis, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I use humor as a healing tool in addition to therapy methods that are right for you. I provide psychotherapy for residents of New York, Connecticut, and Florida and for those living abroad.

I wasn’t always a therapist; my first career was in technology, at a mortgage finance company. While I loved this systems work, I found deep joy and fulfillment in my volunteer work for a helpline dedicated to teenagers in need, where I learned how to guide people through crisis. Working with others to help them heal from past experiences is my calling.

In my free time, you can find me enjoying the vitality and beauty of nature, practicing yoga and meditation, soothing my soul with good humor, and spending quality time with friends and family.

I’d love for us to connect and get to know each other - please reach out.
